HOUSTON PRIME DEVELOPMENTAL LEAGUE

Prime Prep Academy is for all girls 2nd through 10th Grade! This program is geared toward all skill levels within the 2nd-10th grade age groups. It is a great starting point for our nationally recognized Houston Prime Athletics, formerly known as Asics Willowbrook Junior Volleyball Club program.

We practice once a week on Sunday evenings and participate in three or four Developmental Tournaments!

OUR GOAL

Developing younger athletes and allowing them to mature into excellent volleyball players is our goal. Houston Prime Athletics is a true training facility that stresses consistent teaching of technique and strategy across all teams and age groups. Each year in our program, your player will advance her skills by learning more advanced techniques that build on what she has already learned.

Being a Houston Prime Athletics player is more than just being part of a volleyball team: it’s being part of an elite group of girls, all ages, that have the same goals! Each girl will form bonds with other players, find positive mentors, meet her next best friend, and above all, HAVE FUN! She will learn good fundamental skills, and at the same time she will find out what self-discipline, confidence and leadership is all about! And if she works hard and stays with the program, she can excel at the sport of volleyball.

What makes this Developmental League different from other volleyball programs, such as YMCA or a local sports association?

While those programs can be fun, they also have their flaws. Many times, the coaching is inadequate, and there is no consistent training methodology. Without good coaching, you will find that each successive year brings more poor skills and bad habits that must be torn down, so that proper skills can be learned in their place. Plus, there are many programs out there that have no capital investment other than a few dozen volleyballs.

Do you want a band-aid for your daughter’s current volleyball techniques? Or do you want to start her on the right track, learning the correct fundamental techniques from the start that will allow her to play at a high skill level?

Our idea is simple — Each year, we will build consistent skills in young athletes by ensuring that every one of our coaches teaches “the Prime Way” under the direction of our Training Directors.

2026-2027 COST

$1850 TOTAL * (price subject to change)
At the time of registration, you may either:

Pay in Full or Pay $500 and enroll in a payment plan as follows:

$270 – December 1st
$270 – January 1st
$270 – February 1st
$270 – March 1st
$270 – April 1st

2026-2027 PRACTICE DATES
**December 6th – 1st Day – Evaluation Day
Your final practice time will be assigned after the first day once teams are made.

December: 6-13-20 (Sunday)
January: 10-17-24 (Sunday)
February: 7-21-28 (Sunday)
March: 7-21 (Sunday)
April: 4-18 (Sunday)
April 22 (Thursday)

Practice Times will be determined after Registration and Evaluation. The practice time will be Between 430-830PM – A 2hr practice slot will be assigned between this time frame, after the evaluation.

2026-2027 TOURNAMENT DATES
We will have 3- 4 tournaments throughout the program season.
