KARLA GILL

Karla Gill is volleyball coach with a rich history of success both on and off the court.  Her journey began as a player at the University of Miami from 2002 to 2005.  As a Freshman, Karla played a pivotal role in propelling her team to the Sweet Sixteen, showcasing her talent and determination early on.  Her collegiate career culminated in her senior year when she was awarded Team MVP and All-American honorable mention highlighting her skills and leadership.

Karla Transitioned into coaching in 2007, starting as an assistant coach at Nimitz High School in Aldine ISD. Her commitment to developing young talent became apparent and in 2014 she was promoted to head coach at Nimitz High School where she continued to build a strong, competitive program and mentor student-athletes.

Currently, Karla serves as the high school coach at YES Prep White Oak Secondary where she continues to develop young athletes and grow the program.
